It is my passion to create FREEDOM not just for myself but for YOU as well so that we may all reach our full potential on this Earth. Through a SYNERGISTIC approach to creating community, a tribe of like minded individuals can come together to share, grow and learn right here at this blog.
Now, a bit about me. I was born and raised in Phila., PA, and graduated from Temple University school of business back in the early 90’s. I’m now a husband, father and practicing yogi who’s been a student of yoga since 2002 still living, working and practicing (yoga) in Philadelphia. Prior to my yogic studies, for nearly a decade I immersed myself in Native American Indian philosophy participating in Lakota Sioux sweat lodge ceremonies which brought me very close to the Earth and all its inhabitants. As such, I gained a deep respect and reverence for nature. I’ve also recently launched a sustainable clothing company (Vayu), where eco-friendly products align with my personal philosophy enabling me to live my yoga practice off the mat and incorporate those ideals into all aspects of my life.
I’ve always been a spiritual seeker with an interest in self-betterment and transformation. My interest in all things spiritual surfaced in my late teens and is still a driving force in my life today. I’m also an entrepreneur at heart. I’ve never felt destined to work a traditional job and have only done so for one year in my entire professional life. The freedom I seek in my spiritual life goes hand in hand with my professional and financial life and goals as well.
It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Being an entrepreneur has its ups and downs and I’ve certainly had my fair share of both success and failure. I tasted success as an internet art dealer and gallery owner during the mid to late nineties and then the dot.com bubble burst. My art business burst along with it as people no longer had the expendable income for non essential purchases. I was living up in the mountains of Pennsylvania in a beautiful home on 4 wooded acres before the crash. I was in a long term relationship that after 8 years went south at the same time and was left broke and alone.
I decided to sell the house and start over moving back to Philadelphia where I had friends, family and job opportunities. I worked in outside sales for one year while simultaneously searching for another business opportunity. I started dabbling in designer clothes and built that up into a thriving internet business that enabled me to taste success for a second time and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle for a number of years. The most recent economic downturn and subsequent stock market crash wiped away another flourishing business. Left scrambling yet again, and having used the internet to build wealth for over 10 years, it only seemed natural to take my exploration of internet marketing to another level.
Things have radically changed since web 2.0 has evolved into an interactive connective landscape where we can form relationships in ways that were hardly conceivable when the web first emerged. With the recent creation of Vayu, my interest in social media and Internet marketing has taken on an entirely new face and has gone well beyond promoting a single brand. I think there is unlimited potential for new technology to not only raise the awareness of our planet en masse toward a more spiritual and sustainable condition, but for those of us with an entrepreneurial spirit to capitalize by setting ourselves free financially as well. Not for the goal of hoarding or promoting materialism and ego, but the kind of freedom that will enable us to spend quality time pursuing more serious spiritual endeavors for ourselves, friends, families and our planet.
