Key Points To Consider For Greater Success & Happiness

success1 Key Points To Consider For Greater Success & HappinessSuccess is a process, be it in business or in life. It’s human nature to often want immediate results but life is not about the destination but more about the journey. The attainment of your goals will come naturally as you solidify your thoughts, those thoughts becoming your actions, and the results of those actions manifesting into an outcome in your physical reality. This is what makes us not just observers of the world but even more so creators. We must carefully craft our thoughts like master craftsmen, our passions and desires  being the fire that drives us toward achievement. It is important to remain grounded in the present moment, cherish each step along the way and navigate the ocean of growth as we move through time and space. I would like you to consider 4 important points to ponder and implement in your day to day life to bring about both success and happiness whether personal or professional:

  • Patience
  • Persistence
  • Enthusiasm
  • Faith & Belief

Patience-In a technological age where communication and information are instantaneous, we have become accustomed to instant gratification. Contrarily, when it comes to our personal or business development it requires a systematic series of actions directed to a specific result. Each action triggers a reaction and not always the one we desire or expect. Growth is achieved by learning from setbacks and if knowledge is gained then there is no such thing as failure only lessons. We must remain mindful that everything in the universe is exactly how it is supposed to be, so to fight against this force is to fight against the universe itself. It is therefore imperative to cultivate equanimity or a peaceful state of mind. If we stop grasping and let go of the need to control things, this will bring about a state of peace from which our highest level of creativity can flow. If we come from a place of ego which is all about control, a state of fear and anxiety will be the dominant condition. Let go and let it flow!

Persistence-It’s often commonplace for people to become very excited when starting a new project or business venture. Do you happen to know a person that moves from project to project never really achieving success when the startup phase unwinds? Perhaps that person has even been you in the past? Taking action is simply not enough to bring about success and there comes a time when you must put in the real work. If you want to get in shape, joining a gym and working out a few times is not going to bring results. It’s even much harder to stop and start again than it is to simply keep going. Let’s look at water as a metaphor. Water always seeks the lowest point akin to humility. It is supple and if you try and grasp it, it will elude you. You can only “get it” by letting go. Yet over time, water which appears to be weak and soft will re-shape the hardest rock. Be like water by remaining humble, staying supple and resolute. At times, it is even OK to step back and laugh at yourself in the face of a problem or challenge. Be kind and gentle but unwavering when it comes to your own success!

Enthusiasm-There are differing levels of intensity in each one of us that propels us to success. The more impassioned your desire the greater your chances of accomplishing your goals. Ever notice how the most successful individuals are full of verve and vigor on what seems to be a daily basis? This is no accident as enthusiasm is cultivated through a balance of proper mindset, diet and exercise. In order to cultivate high levels of enthusiasm and give you an edge over the competition, your physical and mental well being should be a pre-requisite to your plan for success. Give your body and mind what it needs to thrive and nurture your creativity through foods offering vitality. Eat your fair share of fresh fruits and drink plenty of water and/or fruits juices as a well as lots of raw vegetables and your body will love you for it. Stay away from loads of caffeine and processed junk foods that will run you down and decrease your sharpness. Get out and walk or run, do yoga, martial arts, ride your bike or anything to get you moving and breathing. Use affirmations to empower yourself and set your intention to push yourself to your full unrealized potential. Enthusiasm will allow you to break through barriers and in the process will create positive change, growth and success!

Faith & Belief-These two ideas are related as one cannot exist without the other. Their combined power can “move mountains”. One of my past spiritual  teachers taught that faith and belief are the two most powerful forces in the universe! You must belief that your own success is possible and have faith in yourself to take the appropriate steps to make your dreams a reality. Envision yourself having already arrived at the place you want to be in life and supercharge those visions with emotion and intention. Don’t come from a place of ego but from a place of earnestness in your desire to offer value and help others. Another important component here is to allow yourself to surrender to your highest self or power, be it the universe, deity of choice or whatever force you resonate with. That which surrenders is actually the ego and it is the egoic self that often lives in fear and self doubt. It is this aspect of self that inflicts us with obstacles that hinder our growth.  Surrender is key in enabling you to let go and allow the universe to automatically restore your peace in times of frustration and doubt.

These four principles should be the keystone of your personal and business philosophy. It is this foundation that other aspects of your self development and realization will flow. Building on these basic qualities will give you the tools necessary to handle any challenge or obstacle as they arise. You may even want to print them out and post them above your desk to refer to as necessary for guidance and inspiration. Many thanks for “4 Key Points To Consider For Greater Success & Happiness.” After a most difficult few days, I posted to my facebook “I am learning a very difficult lesson, and hope in time to understand what it is.” Not a moment later, I glanced at my TweetDeck, at the very moment you tweeted this.

Your words of wisdom were exactly what I needed at the right time – (amazing how that happens!)

Thank you very much for sharing this…I cannot tell you how much these words have helped me begin the self-healing process. I will reread this again in the morning to ensure I continue on the path of surrender, and developing these 4 key areas.

    Deepest gratitude,
    Jennifer

This is great, Fredric. Thank you for putting many important concepts into a quick, easy to understand read. Excellent!!!

And for Jennifer, in my journey of healing I have found the book “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay to be of help, also “Your Best Life Now” by Joel Osteen. All the best on your journey.
